MY MISSION: is to find the essence of what you do and turn that into extraordinary messaging to help you achieve great things.

    Sometimes, it takes a fresh eye or fresh perspective to help you reach new donors, retain current ones, or re-enlist old ones. I can help you do that.

    My goal is to help you speak 'your soul' to find ways in which potential donors or volunteers will be inspired to not only learn about you but also engage with you.

   How do I do that?

   By finding out what it is that motivates you. In other words, getting to the core of your 'why.' Why is it important to find housing for the homeless, save the whales, or feed the hungry? Why do you teach low-income students to play the violin? Why do you give out scholarships?

   It's the why of what you do that will attract others to your flame. Yep. Just like a moth.

   I will work with you to dig deep and articulate the emotion behind your cause. Because that's what motivates people to act.

   We can then begin crafting a messaging strategy, revising existing copy, and helping you to be all that you hope to be as you work to change the world.

Here is a partial list of how I might be able to help you:

  • Case statements - $275 (up to six pages)

  • Website Copy - $150 per page

  • Donor or volunteer profiles - $100 per article

  • Event speeches - $175 per 15 minute speech

  • Press releases - $125 per release

  • Fundraising appeals - $125 per fundraising appeal

  • Capital Campaign copy - let's discuss

  • Taglines - $75

  • Brochure copy - $225 for full brochure copy (up to four arcticles)

  • Blog posts/'thought' articles - $175 (up to 600 words)

  • PowerPoint presentations - $225

  • Video scripts​ - $125 for 5 minutes

  • Donor club creation - $150

I offer a reduced fee for nonprofits of $55/hr. for general writing assignments and $65/hr for general consulting. Please contact me if you have something special you need help with.

Process for booking an appointment:

1) My goal is to be as helpful to you as possible, so I require everyone to schedule a free 15-minute chat to make sure we're a good fit.

2) Once we determine that working together is a go, I'll have you sign a very simple letter of agreement that spells out what we discussed so that we're both clear as to what the expectations are. Once we both sign the LOA, we can get to work.

 

4) For payment, I use PayPal or Venmo. Depending on the extent of the project, I might ask for 1/3 of the payment up front, and then the rest once the project is complete. Otherwise, for most projects, I ask for a 1/3 payment when I deliver a completed first draft. If the first draft is acceptable, I finish the project and bill for the remaining money when the work is complete.
